Pay For Meals Through the New OpenTable App (OPEN)

According to Appleinsider, OpenTable (NASDAQ: OPEN) is planning to test a feature that allows diners to pay for their meal directly through the OpenTable app.

This new feature will launch in San Francisco in late 2013 and will expand into other markets if the program is successful. The app is free for OpenTable users and promises to expand on the growing trend of mobile payments.

Companies like Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) have been working on mobile payments for a long time and with near field communications technology, it’s becoming more mainstream.
