Citron Research Posts Snarky Article About Tesla (TSLA)

477499717_5d611e147c_oThe glut of reaction to Citron Research’s short call on Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) was obviously not positive and that’s probably why, Friday morning, it published a blog post defending itself.

In what is a very snarky post, it asks readers if they are smarter than investors like Carl Icahn and Warren Buffett who have recently upped their stakes in Apple (NASDAQ: APPL) and General Motors (NYSE: GM) based on good fundamentals. A portion of the post reads:

Just last week Warren Buffet increased his stake in General Motors by over 60% — he now owns 3% of the company.  I guess the Oracle of Omaha didn’t get the message that GM is now a walking dinosaur, and does not offer as good as an investment as Tesla.

Then it points out that Elon Musk said, “I think the valuation we have right now is more than we have any right to deserve”

Regardless of your thoughts on Tesla, this is an entertaining post.
