Asia Down Following Friday Selloff

As of 8:00 p.m. EST Sunday, Asia was lower across the board after a board market selloff in U.S. markets on Friday. The Nikkei was down 1.6 percent or 220 points to 13553. Australian markets were down 0.2 percent and the South Korean Kospi fell below the 2,000 market.

The dollar was slightly stronger against the yen at 100.44. Investors will watch this level closely as any move below the 100 handle could accelerate the Nikkei selloff as the yen strengthens.
