Maui Land & Pineapple Company Disappoints on Earnings

Maui Land & Pineapple Company (NYSE: MLP) reported second quarter EPS of $0.03 versus $(3.76) in the same quarter in 2013. Revenue was $5 million versus $9.18 million one year ago. This represents a 46 percent year over year drop in revenue.

According to the press releaseMaui Land & Pineapple Company, Inc. develops, sells, and manages residential, resort, commercial, and industrial real estate. The Company owns approximately 23,000 acres of land on Maui and manages properties, utilities, and a nature preserve at the Kapalua Resort.

The company has a market cap of about $139 million and trades about 16,000 shares daily. Year to date, the stock is up about 17%.
