BREAKING- CBS Says Negotiations with Time Warner ‘Badly Off Course’ (CBS, TWC)
- Updated: August 8, 2013
Judging by the war of words in recent days from CBS (NYSE: CBS) and Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) that resembles an argument in high school gym class, you might not have realized it but today, a CBS executive said that negotiations are “badly off course.”
In a battle that has created more than 3.5 million unhappy customers, a well-thought-out customer service strategy for both sides, CBS, Thursday, said that Time Warner is trying to negotiate terms that would limit CBS’ ability to conduct business with online media companies like Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) and Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN).
If there’s any silver lining to this dark, juvenile, everybody-loses cloud, it’s that both sides confirmed that they’re back at the negotiating table–hopefully with a team of counselors.
